CDC recommends an injectable flu vaccine during pregnancy; the live nasal spray is not used during pregnancy. Confirm the locally available product and appointment route with your health service. This guide does not assess your individual eligibility.

## Bring relevant information together

Note the date of your previous flu vaccine if you have it. Clearly mention any previous significant reaction after vaccination, without guessing details you do not know. Share your pregnancy week and relevant current circumstances with the professional at your appointment.

## Questions before booking

You could ask: “Does this service offer flu vaccination during pregnancy?”, “Do I need an appointment or documents?” and “Are there local eligibility rules or costs?” Access arrangements in another country may not apply where you live. These questions do not mean everyone needs an extra written permission letter.

## Treat illness symptoms as a separate issue

Contact your healthcare provider promptly if flu symptoms develop during pregnancy. An upcoming vaccine appointment is not a substitute for assessment of an illness. Tell the appointment service about symptoms and ask how to proceed; do not choose treatment independently.

## Keep a useful record afterwards

If vaccinated, note the date, service and where you keep the record you were given. Add the answer to “Whom should I contact if I have a concern?” A record supports personal organisation; vaccination does not establish complete protection against every respiratory illness.
